Greater Austin Asian Chamber of Commerce · 2026
Asia x Austin Summit
The Chamber's annual summit, staged at the Long Center at the peak of SXSW with a full identity, a seven-session mark system, speaker graphics and a mobile guide.

Once a year, Asia comes to Austin. The 2026 summit ran on March 17 at the Long Center for the Performing Arts under the theme Intersection of Global Innovation and Central Texas Opportunity. Austin Mayor Kirk Watson opened the day with his vision for an International Austin, joined by consuls general and regional economic development leaders.
Trade representatives from Malaysia, Korea, Singapore and Hong Kong briefed attendees on entering their markets. The technology track, powered by Plug and Play, covered the semiconductor build-out, autonomous robotics and applied AI. The night closed with After Dark, a pan-Asian cultural evening on the mezzanine with the Austin skyline behind it.
01 · The challenge
The third annual summit was the first one placed inside SXSW. It had to hold its own against a festival of thousands of events while reading clearly as the Chamber's own, and it had to carry a paid ticket for the first time.
02 · My role
Creative lead for the summit. I designed the event identity, the session system, all speaker and sponsor graphics, the signage and print, and built the mobile guide attendees used on the day.
03 · What I built
- Event identity, palette and pattern system
- Seven session marks plus the After Dark mark
- Speaker cards and sponsor promotion graphics
- Venue signage, banners and printed program
- Custom mobile event guide
- Summit pages on accessasia.co
04 · The work
Identity
A summit lockup built to sit beside SXSW without borrowing from it, with a lotus and Texas pattern carrying the two-way idea across every surface.

Session marks
Each track got its own rondelle so attendees could read the program at a glance, on signage, on screens and inside the mobile guide.

Signage and pattern

Session and speaker graphics
